Berkhamsted-based hair salon, Alchemy & I, has been announced as a finalist in eight categories of the Salon Awards, including Best Salon and Best Salon Team.
The Salon Awards showcases the professionalism of the hairdressing industry on a local level, and has revealed Alchemy & I to be finalists in the following categories for the Hertfordshire area:
- Best Salon
- Best Customer Experience
- Best Colour Salon
- Best New or Refurbished Salon
- Marketing Trailblazer
- Best Salon Team
Alongside the salon-wide accolades, two members of the Alchemy & I team have been celebrated for their artistry, securing a finalist spot in the following categories:
- Stylist of the Year – Amy Penhallow
- Future Talent Award – Sophie Hinton
The salon, spearheaded by Founder and CEO Haylee Benton, has been nominated in the Best Salon and Best Customer Experience categories due to its incredible success, ongoing innovation and rave reviews. The salon puts the customer experience first and is dedicated to meeting client needs while providing a unique atmosphere that combines community and relaxation. The salon even has its own app through which clients can order a range of cocktails, drinks and food, straight to their seat.
Meanwhile, the team’s bespoke colour work has secured them recognition in the Best Colour Salon category. Salon Director Sean, who boasts a L’Oréal Colour Degree, has invested time into supporting the ongoing development of all the salon’s stylists, supporting all them in creating dimensional and bespoke colours that suit every client to a tee.
After refurbishing in January 2020 to expand their capacity, Alchemy & I’s luxurious interior design has been celebrated in the Best New or Refurbished Salon category, while the Best Salon Team accolade recognises the dedication, passion and enthusiasm every member of Alchemy has for their artistry.
Amy Penhallow, finalist for Stylist of the Year, wowed judges with her passion for hairdressing, demonstrating dedication for evolving her artistry while providing the best experience for clients. Sophie Hinton, one of the salon’s Apprentices, was recognised for her eagerness to learn all that she can while providing toning and styling services to an incredibly high standard.
Salon Director, Sean Butt, commented: “The whole team are thrilled to hear the news. Alchemy & I was launched to offer high street accessibility to incredible hair artistry and indulgent experiences, so we’re incredibly proud to see that our efforts have been recognised.
“With this year really pushing us to our limits, it’s driven home that our hard work to continually overcome and adapt has been worth it. The team has shown incredible resilience throughout the challenges 2020 has presented to us, and even as we weather a second lockdown, we continue to stand together and support one other, and these awards are just a testament to that.”
Alchemy & I will discover if it has achieved the top spots at a virtual awards evening on 12th December.
